A Legacy of Excellence

Custom Residential Paint Contracting was founded by Joe W. Mear, a professional decorative painter, faux finisher, and touch-up artist whose artistry and meticulous standards shaped the company’s reputation. For over 40 years, Joe established CRPC as a trusted name in high-end residential finishes.

Today, the company is proudly led by Joe’s son, Colin Mear, who grew up in the business and carries forward his father’s commitment to craftsmanship and integrity. As a second-generation successor, Colin is dedicated to elevating the company to the next level—expanding its capabilities, refining its processes, and continuing to deliver results that exceed the expectations of homeowners, designers, architects, and builders.

The CRPC legacy is also supported by Joe’s daughter, Lisa Sampson, who has run the office for 18 years. Her dedication and long-standing involvement keep our office operations running smoothly and rooted in the family values that define the company.
